Matt Dery

Matt Dery joined Financial Architects, Inc in 2019 as Communications, Marketing, and Business Development Director. Part of his role involves activities centered around business growth and outreach, in order to bring awareness of the firm to current and future relationships. In addition, he oversees advisor growth and communications for the organization, such as client communications, social media, event strategy, and the development of FAI’s informational podcast network. All of these responsibilities truly leverage his career experience.
Matt spent the previous three years as a Journalism and 21st century Media and Cultural Communications teacher at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy. His background is in sports broadcasting and his versatile skill set enabled him to tackle many communications tasks at the school, including moderating the Cub Broadcast and Cub Sportscast. Before his stint at U of D, Matt was a sports talk radio host at Detroit Sports 105.1 FM. He currently is the TV analyst for the G-League Motor City Cruise and is the host of the official Detroit Pistons “The Pistons Pod” podcast and “Locked on Lions” daily podcast. Matt is also a fill-in talk show host at 92-3 The Fan FM in Cleveland. Matt and his wife, Heather, have been clients of Financial Architects since 2012. A 1995 Syracuse University graduate, he enjoys spending time with his family and rooting for the Cleveland Guardians.
