Chris Cousins, ChFC, RICP, CAP entered the financial industry in 1992, and has worked with individual clients, business clients, as well as spending a few years in the pension administration business.
He has been part of the Financial Architects team since late 2004, initially working almost exclusively in the area of portfolio management. But more recently, his client activities mostly focus on overall planning and macro strategy for clients as they approach, and transition into, the retirement stage. Most recently, Chris’s role now includes being part of the Executive Management Team as an organizational strategist. He is excited to help lead the company through the transition from its past 30 years into its next 30 years and beyond.
Chris has earned professional degree credentials from The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA. They include: The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) in 2002, the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) in 2014 and the Chartered Advisor of Philanthropy (CAP®) in 2015. He is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
Related to community, Chris currently serves as a Board Member for the Cousins Family Foundation and The FACES Foundation. His collective 10 years of involvement with these organizations is an expression of his passion for the conversations and activities related to philanthropy.
He enjoys spending time with family and friends, fitness training and playing/recording music in his music studio. A resident of Brighton since 1998, Chris and his wife Susan have two grown daughters, Ella and Olivia.
