FAI Holds Seminar on Concierge Healthcare
Financial Architects recently hosted a workshop that featured John Blanchard, MD and the concept of medical advocacy: Concierge Medicine. While typical primary care physicians tend to 30 patients a day, Dr. Blanchard sees three. And while the average physician can send a patient out the door in 10 minutes, Dr. Blanchard takes an hour.
Blanchard practices concierge medicine, a growing trend across America where the patients deal direct with the doctor and not with an insurance company. If you need an appointment with him, you call Dr. Blanchard direct on his cell phone.
According to Dr. Blanchard "This is the way doctors are meant to practice, and I think the way doctors have practiced for thousands of years." He shared data that had been collected to show how this trend toward advocacy is being welcomed by people who want a relationship with their health care provider.
